A patio in one of Morton's newer subdivisions can sit in full sun all afternoon, with no porch roof and no big tree to help. Our Solar Shield Blinds Retractable Awnings put the whole patio in shade with one button and roll back into their cassette when you want the sun or the evening sky.

- Bare Concrete PatiosA slab with no roof over it bakes in July, and an awning shades it end to end.
- Long Back WallsOne awning runs up to 40 feet wide, made to the exact inch.

Our Awnings
Motorized, sized to the inch, and closed up when the weather turns
Every Solar Shield Blinds Retractable Awning is motorized, because the weight and projection of our units rule out a manual crank, and we wire it to the nearest outlet during the install. EZ-Pitch adjustment comes standard, so the slope of the fabric can be set for your patio.
The fabric is Sunbrella, built for harsh outdoor conditions, with 30 colors in stock and more than 300 to order. It carries the Skin Cancer Foundation's seal of approval for UV protection, and frames come in white, bronze or beige at no extra charge.
When the awning is rolled up, the cassette housing protects the fabric from weather, insects and birds, and the straight or sea-wave valance comes off easily for winter storage. An awning takes 6 to 8 weeks from your order to the install.

Retractable Awnings questions from Morton homeowners
No. We offer motorized awnings only, since the weight and projection of our units make manual cranking a poor idea. The crank included in the box is for the EZ-Pitch adjustment.
No. We install Retractable Awnings only, because they roll away and stay protected when the wind picks up.
Yes. White, bronze and beige frames are all included at no additional charge.
Yes. The cassette housing closes around the fabric when retracted and keeps weather, insects and birds off it.
Very little. Keep it rolled up in bad weather, and the valance can come off and go in storage until spring.
Plan on 6 to 8 weeks from order to install, and we schedule the install as soon as the awning arrives. A spring consultation gets you shade on the patio by summer.
