Where It Fits In Decatur
Where Automation Fits In Decatur
Whether you need privacy, light control, heat protection, energy efficiency, or you just want the convenience of never having to operate each shade individually ever again, automation will do it.
- Bedrooms For Day SleepersSet the bedroom shades to close in the morning and open in the afternoon, and they will do it every day without anyone touching them.
- Stairwells And Two Story Great RoomsWindows high above the stairs or the furniture are out of reach, and a hardwired motor or a solar panel charger gives you function where reach is an issue.
- When You're Away From HomeThe app on your phone lets you move any shade up, down or to a set height from anywhere you have a signal.
- The Patio Out BackMotorized Exterior Patio Shades join the same remote, app and voice setup as the shades inside, and sun and wind sensors can be added.
Ways To Control
Remote, app, wall switch, or voice
Every product we offer has an option for automated control, from the shades and blinds inside to the patio shades out back. You can run them from a Solar Shield Blinds remote, the app on your phone or tablet, wire-free wall switches, or your voice through Alexa, Google or Siri. A remote runs up to 15 shades on its own, or 30 when you add a bridge.
Most of our motorized products carry a built in rechargeable battery, so there is no electrician to call and nothing to wire. A charge lasts about 6 to 9 months and takes 4 to 6 hours. An optional solar panel keeps the battery topped up on a window that faces east, west or south, and hardwired motors come in low voltage and 110 volt options for new construction or a large install.
Schedules and scenes are what make automation worth it. Open the bedroom with your alarm, drop the west side in the afternoon, or build a scene that sets the whole house at once. If you have a whole home system, our Solar Shield Blinds USB Bridge or an added smart hub ties the shades in, and we take care of the programming before we leave.
