Where It Fits In Bloomington
Automation for tall glass, daily routines and time away
Automation makes the most sense on windows that are hard to reach, shades you'd like on a schedule, and a home you're away from for days at a time.
- Two Story Great RoomsWindows high above the couch or over the stairs are hard to reach, and a motor gives you control of them without a ladder or a pole.
- A Place At Lake BloomingtonIf you split your time between town and a home on Lake Bloomington, the app lets you open and close the shades at the lake from wherever you are.
- Wide, Heavy ShadesA large shade that is heavy to lift by hand is much easier on a motor, and one button does the work.
- Morning And Evening ScenesSet a scene for the morning and another for the evening, and every shade in the house moves to the right place at the right time.
Ways To Control
Remote, app, wall switch or voice, with no wiring needed
Choose the controls that suit your household: a Solar Shield Blinds remote, a wire-free wall switch, the app on your phone or tablet, or your voice through Alexa, Google or Siri. The app is where you set schedules and scenes, and if you have a whole home system, we tie the shades into it through a smart hub we provide.
Motors also hold up better than a clutch or cordless lift, because nobody is pulling on the fabric or the mechanism, and rechargeable Li-Ion batteries mean less upkeep than shades that take replaceable batteries. A solar panel on an east, west or south facing window can keep the battery charged for you, and hardwired motors in low voltage or 110 volt are a good choice when you're building a new home.
Our team handles all of the programming, and before our Install Techs leave, your schedules and scenes are running and you know how to use each control. Your Design Specialist will go over every option with you at your free in-home consultation.
