Banded Shades In Bloomington
Banded (Zebra) Shades in Bloomington, IL

Where It Fits In Bloomington
Banded Shades for modern rooms where the light changes
Banded Shades suit modern and transitional interiors, which makes them a natural choice for the newer homes off Ireland Grove Road.
- Great Rooms With Tall WindowsWhen there's more window to cover, a larger band fills the space in proportion and keeps the look calm.
- KitchensRoll the shade up into its 3 inch cassette and the fabric disappears, so the window over the sink is clear when you want all the light.
- BedroomsA Banded Shade gives a bedroom a soft view out during the day, and a blackout shade paired with it on the same window gets the room properly dark at night.
- Living Rooms With DraperyBanded Shades pair well with drapery panels on either side, which softens the modern look for a more traditional room.
How The Bands Work
Two layers on one roll, and a couple of things to know first
The two layers of a Banded Shade slide past each other as you raise or lower it. When the solid bands line up, the room is private. Offset them and the light comes through the sheers in soft stripes with a view out, and you can find the setting you want at any time of day without ever raising the shade.
There are over 100 fabrics in two families, light filtering and light dimming. Light dimming fabric softens the light a great deal, but it won't make a room fully dark, which is why we pair a Banded Shade with a blackout shade in a bedroom.
A motor is a good match for a Banded Shade, since our clients tell us it's the shade they adjust the most, and our Smart Banded Shades run from a remote, the app, a wall switch or your voice. Your Design Specialist will bring both band sizes to your home, measure how much of the glass the rolled shade will sit over, and hand you an exact quote on the spot.
