Fixed Screens In Bloomington
Fixed Screens in Bloomington, IL
McLean County is the largest county in Illinois by land area, and the wind that crosses it finds every open triangle and angled opening on a porch. Our Solar Shield Blinds Fixed Screens are cut on site to fill those specialty shaped openings, with no vertical or horizontal supports across the view.
Where It Fits In Bloomington
Fixed Screens For Bloomington Porches And Decks
We fit Fixed Screens to the gables, arches and angle tops that a shade can't cover, from the older porches near East Grove Street to the newer covered decks at Fox Creek.
- Gable EndsA gable triangle gets one screen cut to the exact shape, all the way to the peak.
- Arched OpeningsAn arched opening gets a screen built on site to its exact shape.
- Screened Upper DecksOn a two story home, Fixed Screens fill the odd shaped openings around an upper deck so nothing gets in at the edges.
- Covered Decks With ShadesWe use the same screen as your Exterior Patio Shades, with track in the same colors.
Built On Site
Measured, cut and rolled in at your home
Fixed Screens are built at your Bloomington home, not ordered from a size chart. We cut our Solar Shield Blinds Fixed Screen track to each opening, then roll the screen in with a heavy duty spline for a taut, clean fit.
Choose the screen by how much you want to see through it and what you want to keep out. Tuff Screen is the standard bug screen, Tuff Screen No See Um keeps out the smallest insects, 70% is a bug screen, and 80%, 90% and 95% are solar screens. The 95% is the same screen we most commonly use in our exterior patio shades.
Once they're in, the screens stand up to the harsh Midwest wind and help keep bugs, rain, snow, leaves and debris off the porch. Pair them with Exterior Patio Shades on the big openings and the whole space closes off.
