Retractable Awnings In Platte City
Retractable Awnings in Platte City, MO
Retractable Awnings put shade over an open patio or deck in Platte City without building a roof. The newer streets south of town have young trees that won't shade anything for years, and our Solar Shield Blinds motorized awnings roll out over the patio at the push of a button and back in when you want the sun.
Where It Fits In Platte City
Where a retractable awning fits in Platte City
An awning shades a patio or deck that has no roof, with no posts in the yard, which suits both the older ranches near downtown and the newer homes on the edges of town.
- Patios on older ranchesA concrete patio behind a ranch near Main with nothing over it. The awning mounts to the house wall, so there's no post in the yard.
- Decks off the kitchenThe main level deck on a reverse 1.5 story sits up high in the sun. An awning shades the table without a roof that darkens the kitchen.
- Yards with young treesOn the newer streets the trees are still small. An awning gives shade this summer and rolls back on cool days.
- Neighborhoods with design reviewLakes at Oakmont reviews exterior changes like patios and fences through a Design Review Committee, and we give you the size and fabric to take to them.
Worth Knowing
Sizes, pitch and the cassette that protects the fabric
When a patio or deck needs shade but a built roof would be too much, this is the product we bring out. It mounts to the house with no posts, gives full shade over the table, and rolls back on the days you want the sun. Our awnings are made to exact custom widths from 10 feet up to 40 feet, with projections of 8, 10 or 12 feet, and your Design Specialist sizes it to reach the chairs. There are over 300 Sunbrella fabrics to choose from, a fabric made for outdoor use.
EZ-Pitch lets you change the angle with the included crank handle, no tools and no ladder, so the front edge drops to block the sun when it gets low in the evening. The cassette housing closes around the fabric when it's rolled up and keeps it dry through a Platte County winter, and it keeps birds and insects off it too. Each awning has dimmable LED lighting built in under the arms, run from a separate remote. Every awning we install is motorized and wired to the nearest outlet.
An awning is made for sun and light rain, and it comes in when the wind picks up, which a wind sensor handles for you. Every Retractable Awning carries our Five Year Service Guarantee as part of the Carefree Guarantee, and your quote is held for 180 days. Plan on 6 to 8 weeks from order to install, and our own full time Install Techs mount it and set the pitch with you.
